ABOUT THE TUNNEL A throwback to the prohibition era during Telluride’s mining days. A small trap door will open on the front door where the password is to be given. Once inside, up to 12 guests will be escorted through the kitchen into the quaint and hidden dining room. Guests will be greeted with a cocktail or mock-tail followed by a tantalizing, 6-course Chef’s tasting menu paired with molecular mixed spirits, wine and non-alcoholic beverages. The prefix menu will change every couple of weeks. Look on Facebook for our weekly password. Or in The Daily Planet classified ads. Under “The Tunnel”. Leave your knives, guns and cell phones at the door.
TESTIMONIALS "Had an amazing dining experience at The Tunnel last night! After each course was presented the chef described the dish, and the mixologist explained the drink he had prepared to accompany it. The food was fantastic with the paired beverage! Everything was cooked and served accurately- the seared scallop, empanada, and pork hatch chili were some of my favorites. It felt like we were tucked away in a hidden place for dinner. The decor and handmade details made it feel like a truly special occasion. My only regret is that I probably can’t come every two weeks to try the new menu! If you’re in town and want a memorable evening, get on the reservation list and enjoy." - Unique Dining Experience "We had a great experience at The Tunnel! Such a neat concept, and Mark has really turned it into a fun way to dine. We loved the South American menu and that the menu changes “themes” every month. The wine pairings were great, food was delicious and beautifully presented, service and obvious care were top notch. We’d love to come back!" - lindsE "Fun experience with delicious food and great service. Very unique concept. Do it. You’ll thank yourself later." - Pugglemom "A highly unique and intimate experience with other diners that you get to know. Terrific and special food and cocktails/wine. Loved the speakeasy concept and the chef’s determination to carry out the vision. Communication with the restaurant was quite good so we knew how to get to this hidden location and what to expect." - Summerfoodie
